Ok so you guys may have heard that JT is making some paintballs that are really cheap, so I bought 1000 rounds for 15 dollars to test ‘em out and see if they were up to grade. Here are my findings.

First the box was shipped, so I don’t know if this was due to shipping, but there were breaks in the bag. see picture 1-3 Second the paint smells faintly of Mint, Wintergreen I think.
Third, these paintballs were very strange in that some of them had really bad seams, and others had good seams… see picture 4&5.

So I toweled the paint off. Really well just in case the shipping was the cause of the breaks.
I also broke a few to look at the fill’s density, and it seems to be a very light paint, with the consistency of really thin soup.

As soon as I had enough cleaned for a hopper and one pod, I took and my X7 (with both flatline and a J&J S2 Barrel) see pictures 6&7 out to the garage where I had set up a garbage can as a target.See pictures 8&9
I stood by the red garbage can on the left, and my target was in the back right corner.

So At first I took a few shots with my flatline, I’d say that out of the 15-20 I shot, about 15-18 broke either before or on exiting the barrel. some of the paint even broke in the breach, and got blown back into my cyclone. I cleaned out the barrel with a battle swab after every two breaks, but it wasn’t very effective. As A flatline Paint I would give the JT paint a 2/10 very poor preformance.

So I switched over to the J&J straight barrel. The number of Breaks reduced quite a bit, but out of the 50 shots I took, I ended up breaking about 20-25. And through both barrels the paint was not very accurate, even at 20 feet. As A straight barrel Paint I would give the JT a 3.5/10 very poor preformance

The scariest thing was when I went and took a closer look at the Garbage can, To my surprise there were 2 very neat holes in the bottom of my garbage can. YES THE PAINT SHOT THROUGH THE HEAVY PLASTIC GARBAGE CAN. See Picture 10
It seems that some of this paint has a very VERY thick and hard shell, others seem to have a paper thin shell.Consistency rating for the JT paint 1/10 very inconsistent paint

Also to my surprise as I was emptying my pod into the garbage one or more of the paintballs BROKE IN THE POD. See picture 11&12 And I was very careful with the pod, setting it down gently and not throwing it around.

Ok So the Final Verdict
PROS: Cheap, 15$ for 1000 rounds, 25$ for 2000 rounds.

CONS: Poor quality, accuracy, and consistency. Possibly dangerous, some prone to breaking inside your marker, others prone to breaking garbage cans at 20ft.

JT Paint Is not worth the money. I won’t even use this as Chrono paint, because of its tendency to break without warning, and I would hate having to clean my barrel every time I chrono with it… AND I WOULD NEVER USE IT ON THE FIELD.
